In the morning, guests can choose from a varied breakfast menu which ranges from a light morning snack to a traditional full Scottish breakfast. Also on offer is some of the local fare including haggis. Outside there is a private drive, with off road parking for guests.
There are a number of shops and restaurants(including the award-winning Albannach Hotel) within easy walking distance. In the evening you can take a leisurely stroll along to the harbour and watch the fishing boats coming in with the days catch.
Lochinver is a small picturesque fishing village on the west coast of Scotland. An excellent base from which to explore the whole of the North-West Highlands. For the keen angler there are numerous lochs to fish which teem with brown trout and permits can be obtained locally. The coastline has some outstanding sandy beaches including Achmelvich just 4 miles away.
At Lochinver harbour you can see seals and otters, while further out at sea you may be lucky enough to see whales, dolphins and porpoises. There are walks to suit all levels of fitness and expertise, from gentle woodland strolls to the more strenuous ascents of Suilven, Canisp, and Quinag. There are also some interesting prehistoric caves nearby at Inchnadamph (14 miles away).
